Bridge into Berachain

This guide will explain how to connect to Berachain for the first time, and to exchange for both BERA and HONEY tokens. The canonical bridge to Berachain is powered by LayerZero.

Option 1: Purchase & Transfer BERA via Coinbase

BERA token can be purchased directly on Coinbase and then sent to an external wallet (eg: Metamask). Many people may find this the simplest method to acquire BERA.

Step 1: Log in to your Coinbase account Step 2: Search for “BERA” in the Coinbase asset search bar. Step 3: Click on “Buy” and enter the amount of BERA you want to purchase. Confirm the details and complete the transaction to exchange USD for BERA. Step 4: After purchasing, visit the My Assets tab find your BERA balance. Step 5: Click “Send Crypto” Step 6: Enter the external wallet address to send the BERA (eg: your Metamask address). Ensure you and only you have access to this wallet. Step 7: Confirm the transaction details and complete the transfer on Coinbase. Transfers should complete within 1-5 minutes.

Double-check the external wallet address before confirming the transfer. You and only you should have access to the destination wallet. Beware of scams.

Option 2: Bridge

Step 1: Open your browser (Chrome or Brave recommended) and navigate to the official Berachain Bridge https://bridge.berachain.com/ Step 2: Click on the "Connect Wallet" button and choose your wallet of choice. Step 3: Auto select Berachain RPC within you wallet of choice, or manually add by going to https://docs.berachain.com/learn/connect-to-berachain Step 4: Select your origin chain and the token you want to bridge to Berachain. Step 5: Highly recommended: Buy a little gas within the bridge UI to ensure you have initial BERA for gas on Berachain Step 6: Enter the amount of tokens you wish to bridge, confirm the details, and hit "Bridge" to start the transfer.

Swap Other Cryptos for BERA & HONEY

Step 1: Navigate to Berachain's official swap page at https://hub.berachain.com/swap/ Step 2: Connect your wallet of choice by clicking the "Connect Wallet" button. Step 3: Select the asset in your wallet that you want to swap. Step 4: Select either BERA or HONEY as the asset you want to receive. Step 5: Enter the amount you wish to swap and confirm the transaction. Step 6: Repeat until you have the amount of HONEY and BERA that you desire.
